Fabulous set of six vintage Italian-made dining chairs with black lacquer frames and woven cane seats for a modern yet timeless look. Inspired by the formality of Chinese Ming style, these distinctive chairs appear to be the work of Italian firm, Fratelli Montina, who also produced designs by the architect Gio Ponti. Slick, black lacquer coats the wood frames, emphasizing the linear and vertical qualities of the design, sharply contrasted by the woven cane seats in their natural straw color. Wear is consistent with age and use, cleaned and polished to maintain the sheen of the lacquer. Please view the detailed images to see more. Sold as a set of six.
