Description
A striking pair of French Art Deco club chairs, attributed to Jacques Adnet, exemplifying the streamlined, architectural silhouette that defined his celebrated seating designs of the 1930s. Each chair features a low, boxy profile with gently curved arms flowing into a rounded back, raised on square tapered wooden block feet — a hallmark of Adnet's disciplined, geometric approach to Art Deco furniture.
The chairs have been beautifully restored and reupholstered in a rich peacock/teal velvet, with fine self-welted piping tracing the clean architectural lines of the frame. The original wood block feet have been retained and refinished, preserving the authenticity of the design while presenting the pair in show-ready condition.
Sold as a pair, these chairs make a striking statement individually or flanking a sofa, and are equally at home in a Deco interior or as sculptural accent seating in a contemporary space.
