Description
Elegant pair of French Art Deco two-seat sofas crafted in France in the 1930s.
Very refined lines and sophisticated proportions that could remind us the work of the French decorator Jean Charles Moreux.
We can particularly appreciate the perfect mix between modernity and tradition, typical of the movement of the great French "ensemblier" from the 30's period.
(Ensemblier is the french word at this time for Interior Designer)
The lines are purified and stretched, superfluous details are removed to arrive at more geometric, symmetrical shapes. However, we can always find a reminder of the great tradition of French craftsmanship, as here the feet are extremely worked and hand carved on all sides with elaborate curves on the back too.
Oak wood frames
Oak wood carved feet.
Very soft and comfortable seat.
Original pieces from the 1930s newly re-upholstered in the traditional way by the best French craftsmen, we used a high quality fabric. New fabric. New foams.
We can particularly appreciate the work and savoir-faire of our team of upholsterers respecting the original design, using the right proportions and lines as it was designed in the 30s.
This pair of sofas was at first upholstered of leather and velvet, we can provide photos before restoration on demand.
Excellent condition.
