Exquisite pair of folding benches with X-form frames in oak and strap leather seats designed by Paul Rodocanachi (1891-1958) for Jean-Michel Frank (1895-1941) executed by Comte circa 1940. One of the Frank Atelier’s most iconic historically-inspired designs, the model is sometimes referred to as a “Rodo” seat after the architect and Frank collaborator Rodocanachi. Original leather seats and intact oak frames with minor non-invasive restoration.
