Description
Elevate your space with this rare Jens Risom Model 2516 Sculptural Sofa, a mid-century icon celebrated for its graceful curves and impeccable craftsmanship.
This piece showcases beautiful, flowing lines that wrap the sitter in comfort while displaying Risom’s talent for sculptural form. The frame sits on a solid walnut base—rich, warm, and hand-finished—which grounds the lightness of the seat and adds striking contrast to the upholstery.
The sofa is newly upholstered in a sumptuous “vanilla ice cream” bouclé, a tactile fabric whose name comes from the French word for “open loop.” Its nubby texture not only delights the senses but also enhances the sofa’s organic silhouette.
Originally designed in the mid-20th century, the Model 2516 perfectly expresses Risom’s blend of Danish modern elegance and American practicality—timeless design that transcends trends.
