Pair of Armchairs in Hardwood & Off White Upholstery, Joaquim Tenreiro - Lot 30A
-
Description
In the 1950s, most high-end furniture was custom-made upon special request for wealthy patrons. This holds true for this pair of armchairs, originally from a private residence in Teresópolis, a Brazilian city renowned for its modernist architecture. The armchairs feature a hardwood structure with ebonized legs, which have been completely restored. The luxurious, mottled off-white upholstery is nothing less than cozy and comfortable. Furthermore, each chair bears the "Tenreiro Arquitetura de Interiores SA" manufacturing seal.
Provenance available upon request. -
