Mid-Century Modern Pair of Presidencial Armchairs by Zalszupin, Brazil 1960s
-
Description
The iconic Presidencial armchair was created by Polish-Brazilian architect and designer Jorge Zalszupin in 1959. This piece features an elegant slatted backrest and generously proportioned curved seating shell in Rosewood veneer, sustained over two chromed metal legs. The overflowing cushions, recently reupholstered according to the original design in a light-gray leather, may be completely removed to highlight the beautiful Rosewood grain and sculptural profile of this distinctive piece.
