Description
A large and beautiful curved sofa with carved wooden supports, Italian manufacture, 1950s
This impressive curved sofa, crafted in Italy during the 1950s, is a true centerpiece for any living room and a focal point of comfortable daytime living. While every taste may find its own ideal piece of furniture, those in search of something unique, distinctive, and original will inevitably be drawn to this remarkable sofa.
Built on a wooden frame and richly upholstered, its irregular silhouette breaks away from conventional interior design schemes. From every angle, its striking form captures the eye, harmoniously combining curves, padded volumes, and straight lines. A piece of great character, it is further distinguished by its wooden supports — the true hallmark of this design. These feature the traditional grissinato surface treatment, a decorative motif rooted in Italian craftsmanship, combined with an elegant cruciform shape that heightens the eccentricity of the project.
The sofa has been fully restored, both in its wooden parts and upholstery, and is ready for immediate placement. The chosen fabric is a high-quality velvet in a delicate warm hue, enhancing both comfort and refinement.
