Description
This commanding throne chair merges primitive elegance with modern sculptural design. Hand-carved from a single solid hardwood log, the piece rises dramatically with a towering backrest that wraps around the sitter like a monolith. Its bold silhouette evokes ancient forms—reminiscent of tree trunks, fossilized figures, or volcanic stone—imbuing the space with a sense of rooted strength and quiet reverence.
The surface is charred using the traditional Japanese shou sugi ban technique, enhancing both its durability and dramatic visual impact. The natural grain, subtle cracks, and smoothed voids remain intentionally visible, honoring the raw beauty of the wood. The result is a striking balance between tactile rawness and ergonomic comfort.
Ideal for interiors that celebrate organic modern, wabi-sabi, minimalist brutalism, or collectible design, this throne-like chair works equally well in artistic settings, boutique hotels, or high-end homes. Its carbonized finish and oil-and-wax seal make it suitable for indoor as well as covered outdoor environments.
This one-of-a-kind piece is made in Europe by Logniture—a studio known for its sculptural, hand-carved wooden furniture that bridges the functional and the fantastical.

Message from Seller:
We do not cut down, we do not destroy, but seek out downed tree limbs toppled by fierce wind storms or driftwood from the local creek. But, in that moment of discovery all it takes is a tiny spark in the artist's eye and in his vision the piece becomes what it was always meant to be. P: +38.595.396.1045 E: logniture@gmail.com
