Description
This three-seat sofa, designed by Luciano Frigerio and produced by Frigerio di Desio in Italy during the 1970s, reflects the architectonic clarity and material sensibility that define his work. The solid wooden frame is articulated through strong geometric lines and refined detailing, revealing Frigerio’s approach to furniture as a synthesis of craftsmanship and structural expression. His designs often occupy a space between functional object and artistic composition, where proportion and construction are carefully considered.
The generously proportioned cushions introduce a softer counterbalance to the defined structure, creating a seating experience that is both comfortable and visually composed. Rooted in the Italian design culture of the period, the sofa embodies a balance between material richness and formal restraint. It comfortably seats three people and functions as both a practical seating element and a grounded presence within a curated interior. -
