Mid 19th C. Rush Seated Ladder Back Chair. English, circa 1850
-
Description
Very nicely appointed Victorian rush seated ladder back chair; English and mid 19th century. A little different with the fret back design, this chair is in completely all original condition and surface, with the original rush seat in sound and sturdy condition. The tight grained mahogany back, and pleasantly curved carved arms have faded to a nice warm patina; while the elm spindle turned legs connected by double side stretchers along with a bulb and turned front stretcher, provide a well balanced and nicely proportioned traditional British country arm chair.
