Pair of Hollywood Regency Scroll Form Ebonized Walnut & Textural Silk Armchairs
-
Description
This elegant pair of Hollywood Regency armchairs were realized in the United States, circa 1940. They feature stylized klismos style volumetric rectangular legs in ebonized walnut. The front legs offer a tapered geometric detail at the base of each, testifying to the fact that no detail was overlooked in their construction. Additionally, these chairs have a gently sloped back with shadowbox detailing around the edge; and scroll form arms. They have been newly reupholstered in platinum silk with abstract organic rectilinear detailing in subtle relief. With their clean modernist lines and refined palate, these chairs would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Art Deco to contemporary. They have been newly reupholstered and restored to mint condition.
American, circa 1940
