Pair of Indestructible Ice Cream Parlour Chairs

$ 1,300
  • Description
    Found a pair of authentic industrial bistro chairs that actually have some soul - these aren't flimsy replicas, they’re the real deal - made from tubular steel in the early 20th Century. Check out the original brass RI State Property inventory tag, for anyone who values provenance these are said to have come from the concession area of Lincoln Woods State Park outside of Providence, and then used in a downtown ice cream shoppe. Both chairs have that perfectly chippy chocolate-and-white patina - a Neapolitan paint job of sorts - this is the kind of honest wear you just can’t fake, you can see a bit of each color painted onto these chairs over the past 90 yrs. If you’re a local design nerd looking for a piece of Rhode Islandia that hasn’t been ruined by a bad DIY job, this is the perfectly imperfect patina you cannot fake.

    Sold as a pair. 15" D x 32" H, Seat Height 18"
