Description
These armchairs are elegant and comfortable evidence of the mastery of the European cabinetmakers who defined mid-20th century modern seating. They are of the highest quality, both in terms of visual appeal, materials, and craftsmanship. Mid-century modern is notable for its blend of classic design with a slightly more updated feel. This armchair model has a clean, comfortable style that is a prime example of the best qualities of the era.
Upholstered in a rich green fabric, these chairs exude a timeless vibrancy that radiates warmth and refinement. The choice of green allows for a sense of luxury and richness while still remaining grounded. With gently rounded edges, these chairs have a stylish flow to them. Thanks to their soft curves, they cradle the sitter in a harmonious and just as stylish embrace. The plush, generously padded bodies provide a great level of comfort, making the pair ideal for prolonged periods of use. The maker of these armchairs has evidently had a clear design idiom and guiding principles: function, durability, timelessness, and perhaps above all, comfort. This traditional yet playful pair combines all of these characteristics, which makes it ideal to be the focal point of any space. Made from solid wood, the back legs are tapered and splayed, while the front legs have a spherical shape to add even more visual interest.
Unlike designs from outside the continent, European cabinetmakers’ pieces weren’t flashy but designed to be well-made and to fit a warm, comfortable and welcoming, and this pair of armchairs is sure to provide comfort and style to any interior.
