Description
An exceptional pair of mid-century modern Scissor lounge chairs designed by Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates, circa 1960s. These iconic chairs feature striking chrome-plated steel frames with their original taupe mohair upholstery, which remains in excellent vintage condition—plush, clean, and richly textured.
Bennett’s Scissor chair design draws inspiration from 19th-century folding deck chairs, reimagined with minimalist elegance and ergonomic comfort. The low-slung silhouette and angular geometry offer both sculptural presence and relaxed seating. The chrome frames gleam with architectural precision, while the mohair adds a warm, tactile contrast.
Perfect for collectors and design aficionados seeking authentic Bennett pieces with original materials intact. These chairs are not only rare in this condition but also timeless in their appeal. -
