Description
This rare armchair was designed by Paul Boman and produced by his company Oy Paul Boman AB in Finland in the 1940s. The design offers a nice contrast between the curved lines of the high winged back and the straight lines of the armrests. The rectangular front feet and the curved back feet in stained birch complement the design. The generous proportions and the fully sprung seat make this a very comfortable chair.
The chair has been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in a 'Olympie' bouclé fabric by Métaphores. This soft and silk like fabric has a wonderful texture, with the combination of the pearl/off white yarns on the darker base giving the fabric a warm depth as well. -
