Description
Striking sculptural chair designed by Paul Covaci and crafted in Romania during the 1980s. Executed in solid wood with a deep ebonized finish, this exceptional piece blurs the boundary between functional seating and collectible art.
The chair features an expressive, almost anthropomorphic backrest composed of rounded, organic protrusions that create a powerful vertical rhythm. The bold, muscular silhouette and hand-carved presence give the piece a primitive yet contemporary character, reminiscent of postmodern studio craft movements of the late 20th century.
The generously proportioned seat rests on four robust, tapering legs, reinforcing its sculptural stance while maintaining stability and comfort. The rich black finish enhances the monolithic quality of the form and highlights the subtle surface variations of the wood.
A highly distinctive statement piece, ideal for collectors of avant-garde European design or for interiors seeking a dramatic focal point.
Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage.
Every piece design of LA Studio or new production as they are made with natural materials or made by artisans they may vary in wood color, marble color or wood grain, etc.
Take into account that the colors on the furniture may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images. - More Information
