Phillip Lloyd Powell Living Room Suite, 1979
Hand-carved walnut with butterfly joinery and sculpted horned vertical details. Includes a large removable wood lap surface with adjustable positioning. Cushions newly upholstered in Great Plains high-pile 100% wool shearling.
Comprising one sofa, one loveseat, and one table.
Materials: walnut, oak, wenge, rosewood, and fabric upholstery.

• Sofa: 29⅜ × 91 × 33 in. (74.6 × 231.1 × 83.8 cm)
• Loveseat: 28¾ × 55 × 33 in. (73 × 139.7 × 83.8 cm)
• Table: 13½ × 49 × 37 in. (34.3 × 124.5 × 94 cm)
Condition: Very good original vintage condition with light marks and scratches throughout. Newly upholstered; presents well.
A rare and important late suite by Phillip Lloyd Powell, demonstrating his advanced technical joinery and sculptural mastery in wood. -
