Description
Gertrud and Otto Natzler Cylindrical Bowl with Lip, 1980
Earthenware with gray and brown reduction-fired glaze
A cylindrical earthenware bowl featuring a subtly flared lip and an exceptionally rich reduction-fired glaze by Otto Natzler. The surface exhibits a complex interplay of smoky grays, warm browns, and copper-toned hues, with pronounced glaze melt fissures and heavy drips along the lower body. The restrained, architectural form provides a striking contrast to the expressive, richly textured glaze.
