Pair of armchairs with Cognac leather cushions from the aluminium series by Piet Hein Eek (Dutch, born 1967).
Piet Hein Eek was born in Holland in 1967 and graduated from the Academy for Industrial Design in Eindhoven in 1990. Although he is mainly known for his scrapwood productions. This series fits the thread through his work: the combination of uncommon materials and also uncommon, but simple methods of working.
Piet Hein Eek's work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Milan Furniture Fair, Italy; and Ci¨bone, Tokyo
