Set of 4 extraordinary Biedermeier balloon chairs from Austria / Vienna, circa 1900.
Ash veneered and solid, inlaid with bog oak and mahogany.
Wonderful, balloon-like shape of the backrest.
Restored condition with shellac hand polish (French polish).
Second Biedermeier, built around 1900 in the style of early Biedermeier (circa 1820-40).
Newly upholstered in traditional method withbrown-gray velvet by JAB with surrounding double keder.
Great seating comfort on all of the four chairs.
