Set of Three Folk / Tyrolean-Style Chairs in Mind Green, Finland c. Early 1900s
-
Description
A characterful set of three folk chairs in the Tyrolean style, most likely of Finnish origin, dating from the early 1900s. The chairs are painted in a soft mint green, a later coat that has aged beautifully over time. Each chair features turned legs and a distinctive circular backrest with pierced decoration, giving them a playful yet rustic presence.
Though their condition can be described as rough, with visible paint loss, wear, and small missing pieces on the backrests, they remain structurally sound and full of life. We have chosen to leave them untouched, as the worn surface and imperfections contribute greatly to their charm and authenticity.
A truly delightful set that embodies the honest, timeworn beauty of northern folk furniture. -
