Dimensions: 33 ¾” H x 22 ⅞” W x 22 ½” D

A unique pair of Swedish late 19th century/early 20th century carved birch armchairs, the style would best be described as Biedermeier hence the beautiful blonde wood frames with Neoclassical profile and saber legs that would fit with nearly all traditional to contemporary decorating styles. The upper handrails are carved with a highly technical twisted effect flanked by turned rings as the only decorative flourish on the otherwise restrained yet elegant design. Currently the seats are upholstered in a very worn, satin material of alternating stripes in sage-green and ivory which complements the luminous frame. At 18” seat height they easily adapt for dining or as occasional chairs in a living room setting. Please view the detailed images to see more. Sold as a pair only.
