Historic Casa Encantada Sofa by Robsjohn-Gibbings for Peterson Studios (1937)
A rare custom Neo-Classical Art Moderne sofa, featuring solid hand-carved sycamore with stylized wings, scrolling details, and flared legs. The seat deck has been reupholstered in quilted mohair and includes two matching arm bolsters.
Designed around the time of T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings’ collaboration with architect James Dolena on Casa Encantada, this piece reflects the intricate craftsmanship seen throughout the estate.
