The 'TH-15' Sling Lounge Chair was designed by William Katavolos, Douglas Kelley, and Ross Littell in 1952. Originally manufactured by Laverne International, this recent example is in excellent condition and was produced under license by Gratz Industries. The hair on hide leather sling is suspended in a sleek antique bronze finished architectural frame.
In 1952 William Katavolos, Douglas Kelley, and Ross Littell, graduates of The Pratt Institute in New York embarked on a sucessful six-year collaboration designing textiles, dinnerware, and furniture. One of their greatest designs was the T-chair. It can be found in the permanent collections of many internationally renowned museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
