England c. 1765.
Excellent Pair Genuine George 111 Period Mahogany Library / Drawing Room Gainsborough Armchairs of Particular Generous Proportions having the most unusual feature of being without stretchers, giving a more elegant appearance. Of note is the choice of timbers used suggesting a prominent firm of cabinet makers.
(In the frame giving the client the choice of fabric)
