Description
The graceful Neoclassical silhouette and nostalgic patina of this vintage wooden bench conjure the romance of a bygone age. Hand-made in France at the turn of the century, the design takes inspiration from the Louis XVI aesthetic that arose in the royal court of Versailles centuries earlier. The precise symmetries of the tapered legs and neat corners of the backrest are softened by the comfortable swell of the cushions, freshly reupholstered in white linen. The original painted surface of the wood has weathered to an evocative finish, creating an attractive color palette of cream, apricot and natural wood.
