Description
Tall and graceful, this antique wooden cabinet offers an attractive period piece. Hand-built in France in the early 1800s, elegant Rococo details bring out the delicate character of the generously proportioned case. Cabriole feet create a poised stance; a scalloped apron adds a lively decorative detail. The upper borders of the arched doors are carved with an intricate design of floral garlands, evoking a sense of nature’s abundance. The surface of the wood has retained its original finish, which has mellowed over the centuries to a warm amber patina, accentuating the dignified character of this beautiful antique.
