Pair of Warren McArthur Corporation Aircraft Passenger Seats, circa 1946
-
Description
Interesting and fun, these seats are a left and right example of an adjustable aircraft passenger seat designed by Warren McArthur in 1945. Designed for a beech craft C-45 or model-18 twin beech eight passenger aircraft. These seats have a dozen adjustable back settings which make them very comfortable.
These clearly illustrate why the Warren McArthur Corporation was considered the premier aircraft seating manufacturer of the World War II era.
The seats extends from 26" when upright to 47" when fully extended and have built in ash trays.
Warren McArthur rubber "donuts" that are commonly found on his standard furniture have been professionally attached to the leg supports of these seats adapting them for use in the home or office. -
