Description
An early bar stool by Warren McArthur manufactured in Rome New York prior to 1937.
The eight point base supports, the splaying of the upper sections of the vertical tubes to transition between the smaller diameter lower ring and the 2" larger diameter upper ring and the ribbed joinery are all characteristics of early Rome NY production.
Three different ring diameters, the radius of the J- leg support bends, plus the splaying of the tubes require setups for each piece on a manuel tube bender plus assembly must have taken ten hours minimum to complete fabrication of a stool.
Cool design rarely seen. -
