Description
A stool or tabouret consisting of a 14 inch square x 5 inch tall box upholstered seat, atop a multiple ring-turned pedestal; with a quadruped platform base raised on stubby bulbous feet. A classical William IV form, frequently seen as a pedestal and base for tables large and small. Medium dark grained mahogany. Very neutral, freshly upholstered suede-like seating. May also serve as a dressing or musician's stool.

Five decades of antiques collecting experience in a succession of Historic Register homes in Virginia, New York, and Connecticut; and a 1901 beaux arts building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment.
