An amazing looking commode/ chest of drawers which has been artfully crafted in the early mid-century period in Venice/ Italy. These kind of elaborately made 18th century "replica" commodes are very famous and popular nowadays. Especially this example is a real superb one, impressing with a lot of intricate details and fantastic gilt floral themed patterns. The surfaces show an absolute extraordinary created patina, looking like it comes actually from the early 18th century. An exceptional shaped body providing two large drawers, elegantly curved slender legs and the unique surfaces make this gilt 18th century style serpentine commode a highly decorative piece of Italian mid-century furniture.
