Description
Charming, old restored 19th century Biedermeier chest of drawers/ buffet from the early period around 1830 in Austria. This lovely three drawer commode impresses with its thick cherrywood veneered surface showing a gorgeous looking grain flowing down from top to the base. The attached matching cherrywood vitrine transforms this fantastic Biedermeier dresser into a fantastic buffet and provides more pratical storage space with three compartments and three small hidden drawers. It builds the perfect spot to display your valuable dishes or any other collectibles. Some older restoration marks can be seen but these won´t affect the beauty of this antique Biedermeier chest of drawers in any way, much more in confers this piece a very unique charme. The old locks have been removed during an older restoration process as a wish of the former owner and unfortunately couldn´t be found. Sealed with a traditional hand-polished shellac finish, this straight shaped, timeless Biedermeier buffet/ chest of drawers is additionally adorned by artfully crafted brass fittings.
