9646 A FINE REGENCY ROSEWOOD ‘WEDDING CAKE’ REVOLVING CIRCULAR BOOKCASE English. First Quarter Of The Nineteenth Century. Measurements: Height: 34″ (86 cm) Diameter: 23″ (58.5 cm)
Of palisander. Comprising three graduated tiers, the upper tier surmounted by a continuous pierced balustraded gallery, each tier raised on supports comprising groups of three faux books, the whole raised on a circular moulded plinth and three boldly carved paw feet terminating in brass castors. Wear and loss to faux bindings. Minor old repairs. -
