This elegant Directoire chest of drawers originates from Modena in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy and dates to the late 18th century. Crafted entirely from solid walnut, the piece is a beautiful representation of the refined, neoclassical style that characterizes the Directoire period. Its clean lines, tapered legs, and restrained decoration reflect the transitional aesthetic between the exuberance of Louis XVI and the austerity of Empire design.

The chest features three spacious drawers with original circular brass escutcheons and finely turned pulls, set against the rich, warm tones of aged walnut.
