Description
Enrich your living space with this Early 19th Century Commode / Credenza, an exquisite piece designed in the French Louis XV style. This commode is not just a functional storage unit; it is a work of art, meticulously crafted with exceptional attention to detail and a nod to the opulence of the Louis XV era. The commode's serpentine bombe shape adds a sense of elegance and grace to its design, while the exceptional floral and ribbon swag inlay on its three drawer fronts is a testament to the masterful craftsmanship of the era. The variegated rouge marble top, with streaks of white, charcoal, and olive green, adds depth and character to the piece. Gilt bronze pulls in foliate shapes and bronze mounts on the shoulders, feet, and skirt enhance the commode's visual appeal. Notable among the mounts is a Roman neoclassical figure in a circular cartouche, adorned with a tied ribbon and foliate motifs, adding an air of sophistication and artistry to the design.
