Description
This antique rustic cabinet from 19th century France is shaped by a tradition of vernacular craftsmanship, where functionality and available materials defined the form. Constructed in solid wood, the piece features a balanced two-part composition, with an upper section fitted with glazed panel doors and a lower compartment enclosed by solid doors, offering both display and practical storage.
Its surface reveals a deeply developed patina, marked by tonal variation, visible grain, and traces of long-term use. These characteristics enhance the tactile quality of the wood and speak to its utilitarian origins in rural interiors. The understated detailing, simple hardware, and honest construction give the cabinet a quiet, architectural presence that integrates seamlessly into both contemporary and traditional spaces. All our rustic furniture has undergone a two-cycle preventive woodworm treatment for long-term care. - More Information
