Description
A French Louis XV period early 18th century walnut three-drawer commode from Lyon, with carved foliage and serpentine front. Crafted in Lyon during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed the Bien-Aimé (the Beloved), this walnut commode features a rectangular top with serpentine front, following the lines of the façade below. Three drawers, each carved with foliage and fitted with bronze hardware, are resting on four short cabriole feet connected through a carved apron. Simply adorned with recessed panels on the sides, this Lyonnaise Louis XV walnut commode circa 1730 will bring a touch of French refinement to any bedroom or living room.
