Description
The "Mr-Mme" chest of drawers is an iconic creation by Gabriella Crespi, dating back to 1972. Characterized by a set of nested drawers with diagonal grooves on the sides, the piece was designed in chrome and brass, two distinctive materials of the 70s. True to Crespi's most remarkable works, this chest opens on both sides, showcasing the ingenuity of its creator. A true model of multifunctionality, it also features a sliding shelf that allows it to be used as a desk. Ideal as a centerpiece in a dressing room or master bedroom, this chest of drawers comes with a certificate from the Archivio Gabriella Crespi to ensure its authenticity.
Gabriella Crespi (1922-2017) was an Italian artist and furniture designer. Deeply influenced by the design philosophies of Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright, she dedicated herself, starting in the 1950s, to creating furniture and other objects that perfectly balance aesthetics and sculptural abstraction. Crespi's innovative ideas, characterized by articulated forms that meet the needs of contemporary design and her remarkable ability to transform objects through openings, closings, and changes in functionality, quickly earned her international acclaim. -
