Description
The cabinet presented here is part of a series of storage units designed by Giotto Stoppino for Acerbis in the second half of the 1970s. The materials used, in all the variations, are always black-stained oak and satin-finish metal sheets. The very interesting idea was to have a basic module that could be repeated both horizontally (for sideboards of four or more elements) and vertically (as in this case 2+2). The idea of a stand-alone module, repeated in different combinations, was emphasized by the fact that all the doors could be opened, regardless of their position, only from left to right and not mirrored. In our cabinet, the top left door is a flap door, designed to hold bottles and glasses.
The cabinet is in good condition: as shown in the photos, the wooden top has a small area with small scratches, and the metal plate placed horizontally between the two doors on the right side has small dents.
The shelves inside are made of glass and can be adjusted to different heights. -
