Gustavian Nightstand in Light Grey Paint, circa 1830

Offered by: Jacqueline Adams Antiques

Description
An early 19th century Gustavian nightstand, Swedish, circa 1830, with two doors and a single drawer, repainted in light grey. The compact case offers the enclosed storage that makes period nightstands so much more useful than open tables: a drawer for small things, cupboard space below. The light grey painted finish carries the luminous softness that defines the Gustavian palette, brightening a bedside while keeping the piece quietly in period. Nightstands from this era are in perpetual demand and singles of good form disappear quickly. It serves equally well beside a bed, as a small end table, or in a bathroom or dressing room. Wear is consistent with age and use.

This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions!
