Description
Belgian Design; Cabinet; Sideboard; Mid-Century Modern; Modernist Design; Jos De Mey; Painter; Buffet; 1950s;
Jos De Mey Sideboard from the 1950s, an exquisite piece of mid-century Belgian design. Made by Luxus, based in Kortrijk, was the sole canvas for De Mey's designs during this era, making this sideboard an exceptionally rare and sought-after find. Adorned with three sliding doors, each elegantly accentuated by a leather door handle, and complemented by four drawers on the right, this sideboard exemplifies both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The metal frame, accentuated by graceful legs, not only adds to its charm but also bestows a highly decorative touch. Versatility is inherent in its design, as the double face allows it to gracefully divide open spaces. -
