Description
This exceptional Model 26014 Credenza by Danish designer Kurt Østervig is a masterclass in balanced proportion, craftsmanship, and material integrity. Designed in the 1960s and produced in Denmark, the piece embodies the elegance and functionality that define mid-century Scandinavian furniture design.
Crafted in rich, warm teak, the credenza showcases Østervig’s signature attention to detail — from the sculpted solid wood handles to the seamless joinery that allows the grain to flow uninterrupted across the doors and drawers. Behind the four sliding doors, a thoughtfully organized interior reveals adjustable shelving and felt-lined drawers, offering generous storage while maintaining a clean, minimalist profile.
The elevated stance, resting on tapered teak legs, gives the cabinet a light, architectural presence — equally at home in a modern dining room, office, or living space. Every line and surface reflects the designer’s commitment to utility wrapped in timeless form.
