A fine and elegant nightstand / bedside table / side table, crafted in Italy in the 1940s and attributed to Gio Ponti / La Permanente Mobili Cantù. The body of the table is made of maple, topped with a glass surface with rounded corners, secured by brass fasteners. The nightstand features a storage compartment with a drop-down door, decorated with a beautiful quartered walnut veneer pattern and a delicate, gracefully curved brass handle.
