Description
A French Louis XIV style commode from circa 1950 with rosewood marquetry décor, four drawers, red griotte marble top and gilt bronze hardware. Crafted in the timeless French Louis XIV style, this circa 1950 commode radiates a classic elegance, merging both function and form with its intricate rosewood marquetry décor.
The commode features a distinctive bow front and is supported by rounded side posts that gracefully anchor its structure. Comprising four spacious drawers, each adorned with opulent ormolu handles, this piece is as practical as it is beautiful, offering ample storage for an array of items.
The commode is crowned with a striking Belgian red griotte marble top, whose beveled edges add a refined touch to the already sophisticated silhouette. The gilt bronze hardware further accentuates its luxurious appeal, lending a warm contrast to the rich, dark tones of the wood.
Perfectly suited for a refined living room, grand entrance hall, or as a statement piece in a bedroom, this commode effortlessly combines storage with style. Its historical resonance and exquisite craftsmanship make it not just a piece of furniture, but a focal point that could anchor a room's décor, complementing both contemporary and traditional interiors with its timeless appeal. -
