Sideboard Model "Norman" in African Walnut by Luciano Frigerio, Italy 1970s
-
Description
This exquisite sideboard from the "Norman" series, designed by Luciano Frigerio, is a true masterpiece. Frigerio, an Italian designer who was also a talented musician and artist, infused his artistic sensibilities into this piece. The various carved slats running the entire length of the sideboard abstractly reference piano keys, paying homage to Frigerio's favorite instrument.
Design
Crafted from the distinctively beautiful African walnut, the "Norman" series showcases meticulous craftsmanship. The sideboard is fully veneered, both inside and out, with this luxurious wood, ensuring a detailed and polished finish. The doors operate smoothly, closing gently thanks to a subtle magnetic system. Inside, the center of the cabinet features four drawers with refined round brass handles, while the left and right doors open to reveal storage spaces divided by an intermediate beam.
Condition
In excellent condition, this stunning piece is sure to be a standout addition to any interior. -
