Description
Marc Fish, Contemporary, Limited Edition Stratum Bar Cabinet, Resin, LED, 2020
Unique and one of a kind editioned bar cabinet by renowned UK based woodworker, Marc Fish. Marc Fish has been a sensation in the world of collectible design for years. His work is internationally recognized throughout the contemporary design space. This example is signed, dated and numbered - exclusively on view and available at our AMERICANA MANHASSET gallery in Long Island, New York.
The stratum cabinet gets it’s inspiration from Antelope Canyon in the United States of America. At a certain point of the day the light cascades through the Canyon providing an amazing variation of colours, from yellow right the way through to red these colours appear to make the rock translucent. Years of erosion have created flowing textured lines throughout the Canyon. The canyon is a natural phenomenon and is wild visited.
The idea behind the cabinet was to represent this organic fluidity found in the Canyon. The cabinet is made entirely of cast resin with hand carved texture and airbrushed colour gradient. The interior of the cabinet is illuminated by an LED panel discretely installed in the back. This gives the cabinet a very subtle overall glow it also illuminates the inside of the cabinet which many uses could include a drinks cabinet two glass shelves are fitted which could house bottles or glasses. The cabinet is a limited edition of seven with each one being unique. One edition is in stock and available for immediate shipping.
