Description
The E60 bookshelf, crafted from anodized aluminum, wood, and Resinflex, is a distinguished model designed by the renowned Osvaldo Borsani and produced by Tecno in the 1950s.
Minimalist and elegant, the modular shelving system designed by Osvaldo Borsani in the early 1950s combines aesthetics and functionality. Shelves made of wood with Resinflex coating can be freely arranged on separately fixed rails. Resinflex is a trade name for an Italian-patented plastic widely used in the industry of that era for its technical properties of strength and durability. These years were marked by lively experimentation with both materials and forms. With the design of this bookshelf, carried out through the Tecno brand he founded in 1953, Borsani addressed the growing needs of an expanding tertiary sector. Architects and designers found workspaces and offices to be a testing ground for new technologies and innovative solutions. The E60 modular shelves embody their design through meticulous planning and the ability to integrate successfully into contemporary living spaces.
