A large modular credenza designed by Osvaldo Borsani and manufactured by Tecno Spa during the late 1950s.
Crafted predominantly from teak, this modular unit comprises four distinct modules, with precise measurements as follows: two cabinet modules, each measuring 140cm in width, 45cm in depth, and 68cm in height, equipped with sliding doors for accessibility. The other two smaller modules measure 70cm in width, 45cm in depth, and 68cm in height, with one featuring a chest of five drawers, adorned with carved handles, and the other housing a cabinet with a single door.
Notable for its understated and linear design, the credenza demonstrates Borsani's commitment to both functionality and aesthetics, incorporating elements of minimalism and practicality. This design approach facilitates its seamless integration into various office environments, from traditional to contemporary.
Following a recent refinishing process, the credenza now exhibits excellent vintage condition, underscoring the superior quality of its original construction and materials. Its enduring appeal lies in its functional versatility, serving as a testament to Borsani's enduring legacy in mid-century modern furniture design.
