Extraordinary pair of petite Italian Marquetry pillar commodes/ side tables from the early 20th century around 1930. These artfully shaped commodes were elaborately handmade after the renowned model created by the famous Italian cabinet maker Guiseppe Maggiolini (1738 - 1814) and impress with an absolutely amazing design. Beautifully veneered with fine olive and nutwood, these exceptional pillar commodes/ side tables show amazingly detailed floral marquetry works made of different types of woods like maple, plum, birch, walnut and beech. Providing three small drawers with lovely metall applications, this outstanding pieces of Italian craftmanship stand on elegant shaped feet which show some real nice marquetry works too. Absolutely eye-catching 20th century chests of drawers/ side tables which come in perfect restored condition, finished by a fantastic looking, handpolished satin gloss shellac polish.
